Just a copyright-free little ditty about an Egyptian river god who finds a place to sleep atop two sheep and a deer named Harrison, who also happen to be governors of Algiers before the French conquest in 1830.

...and now that I think about it, "Harrison" might not be the right name for a deer. Go ahead and use discretion, name the deer whatever you'd like.

Barats and Bereta

A HUGE thanks to our lawyer buddy, Doug Lief, for his input on this.

  • I've always been looking for a copyright free song about an Egyptian river god who finds a place to sleep atop two sheep and a deer named Harrison, who also happen to be governors of Algiers before the French conquest in 1830. Thank you Barats and Bereta :)

  • This song was used in Tobuscus' vlog today.

  • @abadida No, I'm talking about the lyrics. If BnB legally put this song into the Public Domain, then you're right and anybody can use it. But if they didn't, the family that owns "Happy Birthday" could copyright this song too.

  • @Tranqualizer20 no. Its set to the tune of "Good Morning to All" thats in public domain from which "Happy Birthday to You" was 100% based off of.

  • Sadly, this does not allow you to avoid the copyright lawsuit of singing "Happy Birthday to You". Since this song was made free of copyright, the family that owns the rights to the original song can claim this and then sue you for singing it.
