Abstract: PC-BSD is a desktop version of FreeBSD. It has been supporting and using KDE since version 3.x and more recently KDE 4. This talk will detail some of the joys of using KDE on a BSD platform along with the more common pitfalls encountered. We will discuss some of the things PC-BSD does to "enhance" KDE on our desktop, along with some of the specific tools for our platform, such as PBI package management, a custom thumbnailer plug-in, and hardware support.

@NORCALFULUA I agree. The best thing we can do is provide more support on the forums for people who need that help. Also posting vids of the system to show just how great it is.

Only thing it needs now is a port of google chrome or chromium. Would be perfect then.
