In Jorge Luis Borges short story entitled "Funes, His Memory," a young man from rural Uruguay named Ireneo is bucked off a horse. Thereafter, his preception of the world is radically changed. He has a god-like understanding of the things he sees. For instance, his perception of a glass of wine on a table includes the entire process that it took to create the wine: the growth of the grapes, the manufacturing process, the marketing, and all of the other things that it takes to create wine. His memory becomes extremely accurate; he remembers every event that has happened to him in his life. One time he recites an entire day, but it takes him an entire day.
This video is a one minute representation of the transformation of perception, from pretty good to lucid. Thanks for watching!
