Lucyk -- Quetzalcoatl is an Aztec word and an Aztec myth, from a period much, much later then classical Maya civilization. The Maya have an unbroken 2000 year written history that we can now read and that can be matched up with and verified by archaeology. This written history makes no mention of long-haired white men as culture bringers or anything else.

Dear oturidam - If you have Netflix you can get it there, via streaming or DVD. If you really love the film and want to support it, buy a DVD from the Night Fire Films web site -- only $24.95, and it helps us make more films like this!

$24.95 for basically a cd that costs 35 cents??Sounds like some are taking advantage of this time of conspiracy to make some profit....haha if the end is 2012...why the hell do they need the money? They should send it everywhere for free...unless...it is all bullshit haha not saying it is but I know many are trying to make profit off the fear of others. 25 bucks? Shit...mel gibson's braveheart didnt cost that

    Readabookism,

It cost 10 years dedicated work and shooting in 40 locations in ten countries, not 35 cents. We will be lucky if we ever break even, let alone make a profit. Documentary filmmakers do their work out of love, not for money. If we cared more about money we'd be working on Wall Street.

old post but, you're confusing the Maya with the Aztecs.

Maya cities emptied out in the 9th century, long before the Aztecs and Tenochtitlan were undone by Spanish invaders.. It was the biological agents the indigenous people had no defense against that really decimated the population. Nearly 90% of which was wiped out within 50 years..

One of the most thorough and succinct books I have read on the Spanish Conquest is called, 'Ambivalent Conquests' by, Clendinnen

Awesome awesome film!! I didn;t even know about Breaking. I had read Coe's book and then saw the Nova version, which I downloaded. I just bought the whole film from Amazon (Brand New, so NFF gets their royalty.. I would have ordered direct from Night Fire, but could not because of an accounting issue. You should take paypal).

    Anyway, just brilliant. Thank you.

haha I think you need more than just love to get into a Wall Street type business. Anyways, after 2012 this DVD will be worth nothing...not even interest. Unless, of course, 2012 means total civilization collapse then...who cares about watching a DVD? There will always be more "end times" theories that I am sure "investigative journalists" such as yourselves will be sure to jump on...2013 I here a big volcano will burst...time to get to work! 24.95? WTF?
