I have epilepsy im 16 years old.I take my epilepsy as a gift from god that he gave me becuase he knows that i can deal with it along with all the other challenges that he has put in my life epilepsy has gave me a motivation to live life and continue to battle my epilepsy....:D

I have epilepsy, im 16 year old, my body stay so active.. that sometimes i cant sleep, and make my body do involuntary moves, sorry for my english, im from puerto rico. im takin medicine and i feel better, Thank God. but my type of epilepsy is not mild... the doctor said, it happens to teens alot, well im one of them, but she said, is not continuously.

@allde1 It depends for people. It's just because drinking and drugs affect how the brain works cause of what's in them. It can bring on a seizure. It's just a possibility and it's just better to not take the chance. I smoke pot every now and then and it doesn't bother me none either, but I wouldn't really want to go near drinking just cause when you start new meds they tend to have the same side affects as when youre really drunk. It's a scary thought of what they could do to in that manner.

The meds affect the liver which is why you shouldn't drink
BUT also, alcohol AND drugs affect the brain....... the SOURCE of epilepsy...... its a NEUROLOGICAL disorder. either is not a good idea if you want to stay seizure free.
Just think before you act. Everyone has different limits

i had epilepsy since i was 13. i am 19 now. i drink and i havent had a siezure in over a year so idk about that whole drinking thing

epilepsy Is a very scary thing. my mom has epilepsy. Its not a joke. I had to watch my mom fall down and split her head open when I was a little kid, because I was too small to catch her. so I just want to say goodbless to all with epilepsy.
