@seanrafferty100 well at least you have good taste, there's hope yet, check out those other bands I mentioned, their styles are very different but some great influences there and some links will lead you to other great bands. Also don't ignore some of the electronic bands of that era... Future Sound of London, Orbital, The Orb, Eatstatic, Banco De giai or wonder off into Sheep on Drugs and that's just U.K. the bands

@seanrafferty100 I'm with you there accept for Oasis, for other great 90's bands check Inspiral Carpets,Ride,Lush,Curve,My Bloody Valentine,Senser,The Levellers,Pop Will Eat Itself, Neds Atomic Dustbin,Wonderstuff.... ah wait the list is endless.

I wish I was a teenager around this time... unfortunately, I was even born 'till 1994. But I don't listen to a lot of modern music now with the exceptions of Kasabian, Beady Eye and a few others. I still normally listen to the likes of Oasis, The Charlatans, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Verve and Black Grape.
