@golfer15963 just under the scale...then lift it up and push in about 1 inch..you will see the air come out.dont do it for bass caught in 10 feet or less...only if he/she is having issues in the live well or back in the water...dont know about smallies...

I was talk to give the bass some pop rocks and coke and call it a day. Works for me all the time. Fish on!!!!!!!

how deep do you penetrate the needle into them? does the fish heal from the needle punctureing them? should i do this to all the bass i catch? and is it the exact same with smallmouths?

wow i feel bad. before i knew about this method, i found a pike in the same way that bass was in. I don't know what to do so i let him die. I won't let this happen again.
I have been very interested in this, notice how fast the fish hits bottom, at the end of the video the fish is still on bottom, Ive been told the fish can never equalize. google the N.H. fish and game fizzing bass and they say it doesnt matter the damage is done to the brain.

@tgh6708 Not quite true. The fish is supposed to sink like that. However, if he's been on his side or upside down for a long period of time (more than 30 mins) and/or cannot right himself after fizzing, then yes, he's done. If he sinks to the bottom and is upright like the fish does in the video, the he's fine so long as he hasn't been struggling on his side for too long prior to fizzing.

What size needle do you use and were to get it.You need to show exactly were to stick the needle again.

We recommend using an 18 gauge 1 1/2 inch needle for fizzing through the side. You can get them at drugstores, vetrinarion supply shops, or online.
