This is magnificent from start to finish. You do it justice.

Fantastic playing. The subtle changes in the phrasing and even in some of the notes as played by Pierre on the original recording come off very well. Such careful musical consideration is hard to come by on the youtube

Really wonderful mate. Your playing is deep and emotive, thank you so much for this passionate rendition of a beautiful song.

Hey Ben. This song has been really difficult for me in particular. Not as hard as Bouree Voltige, though! :)
One question about your right hand technique: How do you approach those rolls that Pierre does, for example, at ~2:05. Do you pick the same string with multiple fingers? Is it more in the left hand or the right hand in your opinion?
Thanks, and best wishes!

Thank you! That last roll (second from last bar) involves a hammer on and also a slide on the 5th string. Other than that the RH is fairly straightforward - I use p p (hammer on) i a m a m i p i p (slide) m p m i a i m p a!
I think the hard bit of these rolls is getting the a m a m bit smooth. The trick for me is practicing downward rolls of a m i or a m i p in isolation, really slowly - notice how they FEEL to the right hand - then applying them. Hope this helps.
Best wishes
Ben
