The Venus Trap was inspired by Chris Kenner's 4 for 4 switch which can be found in his book "Out of Control". The Venus Trap is an updated handling of a sleight published by George Pughe way back in a 1949 issue of The Linking Ring under the title of, "Pughe's Alternative to a Double Lift".

Many magician's have since played with the idea and released their own version, such as, Bill Goodwin, Justin Hanes, and Daniel Garcia.

  • for everyone who says this is angly yeas it probably is.... BUT I always use this method when I do the ACR instead of performing it as a trick of its own. It only takes like a split second to do it so nobody will really see anything even if your surrounded!

  • oh and by the way..it's done with a single card......What?

  • @Orbitbrown is this anything like the velvet turnover?

  • I shit the quilt before i knew how this was done, probably the best slight i have ever seen, its just the bloody anglesss!

  • great move great trick i allready no the mover but i want to get the instant download because it will be soo much better, but what deck is that i was looking at the tally ho fan deck but i can only find them in black but chris's is white where can u get one???

  • way to angly for my liking. i refined it a bit for use with more angles. but for one on one, its great

  • can't do it as smooth as you do, but i don't think it really needs to be, spectators wouldn't notice one little aspect of the trick, especially if they don't know where to look and can't rewind time.

  • this is sooooo smooth man. It took me forever to real figure it out. I would waste hours trying to perfect this, My hat off to you :)

  • chris

    great

i think just it figured out...even though i cant do it yet

have you ever heard of the addon?

like the one where you use a buckle and a a thumb break?

just seemed to pop out at me that ur move could be like that
