An original composition: Toccata, as performed by the composer. David Ingram teaches privately in McMinnville and at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
I have listened to David play many times. I was the house mouse that he never knew existed. Just kidding. Actually, I took lessons from David and learned how to balance the harmony and melody together. Shocking that now he is gone.
When I saw this video I heard music that captured beauty flawlessly. I was absolutely moved to feeling, and when I saw the comment below my heart sunk.
So that guy can't write music anymore.... That is so $^#&$^&# unfair.
Woww!!! This is a amazing performance. The way he carries the notes, the soft key notes meld like water with his touch, he was truly a master of what he loved, the piano. How you stayed so hidden from us all is beyond me. Your songs and notes touched my heart and my soul. Thank you David for this gift to us all.
See you in heaven, David. You were a dedicated and inspiring musician, a very supportive colleague and friend, and a passionate chess player. I'll miss you.--Robert
