  • I was 13 when these cats cameout also can remember my bro goin to there concert at Auckland Town Hall in NZ ( 1980 ) I think NZ reggae legends : Herbs or Unity Pacific were the support .. A year previously Bob Marley played at Western Springs in Auckland ( November 1979 ). Both concerts were a sell out / Success :) ..... Jah Rastafari from Australia

  • This song hits me in the gut everytime I hear it - and I mean that in the best way possible. I seriously love this tune! Thanks for sharing it, Peace.

  • Great Prince Lincoln and the royal rasses,The Great Black Slate and The Great David Hinds and steel pulse. What a host of angels? What a love? What a offer to the children in this world ? What a blessing? My love to them perpetually!!!

  • Goin back to the Early '80s

  • I had returned from the army (ignorance and hate left behind) and discovered Black Slate. Wonderful memories.

  • When this song came out, I was a young 13 yo young man headding into teenagehood and those days were care free and fun, learning about life and women and the herb. Those days I remember playing Black Slate over and over again on my casset recorder. thanks for the fantastic memories and the post.

  • One of my all time favorite reggae songs. Thank you for posting.
