I had a fence lizard i nursed back to health. If you can, try getting waxworms. I had him in a 20 gallon tank. I gave him a large limestone slab to chill on, and some dried rose branches. For water, I used a smaller limestone slab, and chipped a shallow depression in the stone. They drink more readily this way. I gave him uva/b lighting, and gave him a nice basking spot. He got tame to the point of crawling up my arm as soon as I placed it in.

I always caught my fencys by hand. I caught a racerunner by hand once. The racer was the hardest,i had to chase it through tall weeds. Soft insects are the best foods. Flies and baby cockroaches from under logs make excellent food for them.

@kyky123kyky Alright,
1: Calling people retards on the Internet won't do you any good.
2: That's not a 10 gallon tank. This is about half the size of a 10 gal.
3: One 10 gallon tank can only hold 1 lizard comfortably.

@jedihunter176 dude its a ten gallon tank you retard he can hold up to 5 in that tank
-
Did you catch them all?
-
@honnoand000 Yeah, I learned that the hard way. I only keep wild lizards though and they won't eat anything that's dead. So I've stopped giving them meal worms altogether.
-
@SweetPipsqueak ya..ur sposed to crush meal worms and stuff like thats head before they swallow cuz mealworms/superworms and stuff can chew way out of tummy if they dnt chew enough=( same with some frogs and toads
-
those things are master burrowers..crazy
What are you DOING? That tank is WAAAAAY too small for those lizards! Get a bigger one! Do you even have the correct substrate and a UVB light? AND a heat source?
Raising lizards isn't like having a pet rat, dude!

I already let them go. I was caring for them during the winter because I found them nearly dead outside.
