Thanks. My harnesses are new and I have discussed the incident with the snaps with the maker as it never happened until we raked the hay. Always with the same horse on the right. I expressed my concern. We in the middle of him helping me get it fixed.
I have seen where the snap is off and the breast straps are thread through the neck yoke ring.

I saw all of your videos, and i was wondering, about the harnesses you use, in my work harnesses, the tugs are solid leather, clear back to the chain links. But in your harnesses, the tugs are split by a ring halfway through the harness, why are they like that?

@zh11147 it allows more flexing of the tug, say if u are dragging a log across a dip or creek as u cross ur tugs will be pulled up as the horse goes down the grade and will be pulled down as the horse climes out, with the ring in the tug it can do so with out buckling the leather it just slides

@zh11147 on the ring a one piece tug will have to bend or buckle at the backpad, belly band mark witch in time will weaken the leather , the ring is closer to the one third two third mark and the short tug is one layer heaver than the long tug as most failures are in the first bit

You said the martingale is used with a wagon, but not for haying, raking, etc. I am wonder why? Also, we hay yesterday, I do not have martingales on my Belgian team's harnesses, the snap on the right horse unsnapped on us twice. It has never done that before. Fortunately, I have a very good team. He stood still, but I am wondering if I want to change to something besides the snap on the yoke?
Your videos are great! Thanks.

@PinkBelle2006 No i said this is how u set a martingale for wagon use , u should use one always, use better snaps, or if u like thread the breast strap through the neck yoke ring
