This mover was just stupid. I've never seen one this fast.

Stage 7 from the Shoot Rattle & Roll in 2009: Shoot this thing 4 times, starting with your hand on the gun holstered.
I shot a 1.80 with zero points down in this video.

  • Wow. Did they calibrate the speed to that of a person running at you from a stop? Did you have to mozmabique the target?

  • It was faster than I've personally seen a human run. It fell down at your feet in under 2 seconds.

Stage required 4 rounds on the target. Some guys fired extras, many didn't get all four off.

  • it would be advantageous to work on moving out of the way as well as getting rounds on paper, no?

  • Not in a match shot for score. Stationary hits > moving hits

  • Yeah this thing was crazy fast. I was at this match and only managed to get four rounds on paper.

  • Holy cow that's fast - is that supposed to simulate the Tueller drill?

  • Wow, that seemed fast. People never really know how fast a perp can run at you until you practiced it. -- I included a link to your video in an article i wrote up about motion targets. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • WOW!!! No lateral movement... BAD BAD Not good at ALL!!!

Step off the line while drawing THEN engage!

  • MGM designed this target to BE the Tueller drill. On flat ground, with no wind, it will run the 21' in 1.5 seconds. This is a realistic speed, but we have seen guys actually outrun this. If you are getting into it with a badguy who is doped up, it is no stretch of the imagination for him to cover the ground is less than 1.5. YES, you DO want to be stepping to the side, or away from it, to keep the distance as great as possible.

  • haha, draw your knife and start slicing.

  • Nice shooting, that was quick.
