VIETNAM MUSIC VIDEO ccr who ll stop the rain Volunteers Good Morning Vietnam welcome home to all Vietnam vets thanks all gave some some gave all The United States entered the war to prevent a communist takeover of South Vietnam as part of their wider strategy of containment. Military advisors arrived beginning in 1950. U.S. involvement escalated in the early 1960s and combat units were deployed beginning in 1965. Involvement peaked in 1968 at the time of the Tet Offensive. Despite Paris Peace Accords, a peace treaty signed by all parties in January 1973 and Case-Church Amendment, a legislation passed by the U.S. Congress in June 1973 prohibiting further direct U.S. military intervention without Congressional authorization, the U.S. was still heavily invested in the war until 1975. The capture of Saigon by North Vietnamese army, in April 1975, marked the end of Vietnam War. North and South Vietnam were reunified the following year. The war was fought between the communist North Vietnam, supported by its communist allies, and the government of South Vietnam, supported by the United States and other member nations of the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO). a Vietnam pilots war footage of choppers and fire birds AHC Between June 1964 and December 1972 around 3500 New Zealand military personnel served in South Vietnam. In contrast to the First and Second World Wars, this country's contribution was modest. At its peak in 1968 the New Zealand force only numbered 543. Thirty-seven died while on active service and 187 were wounded. The Vietnam War − sometimes referred to as the Second Indochina War − lasted from 1959 to 1975. In Vietnam it is often referred to as the American War. It was fought between the communist Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam) and its allies, and the US-backed Republic of Vietnam in the south. It ended with the defeat of South Vietnam in April 1975. Nearly 1.5 million soldiers and perhaps 2 million civilians died during the war. creedence clearwater revival greatest hits

  • I like rain

  • @katana258 Oh yeah definitely. There are always positives. Enjoy the little things. I would have liked to see the napalm drop but was before my time. I remember a night insurgents started to mortar the camp, had Apaches and Blackhawks go up immediately watching them raining fire was a beautiful sight. Sounds a bit evil but there is nothing in this world more awe inspiring when you see firepower going to work. Get the lawnchair out and watch the fireworks.

  • @1105196 we were lied to bullshited and fucked over for nothing . it was there country not ours..wait so j.c. penny can sell shirts from nam.. your dad can see the same bull shit all over again.. it was they were the bad guys go get them save usa.. now that we lost nam theres tours there and they are not pissed at us. it was the lies and back stabing when we did not back them from the french after we told them to fight and die to stop the japs in ww-2.. you will run your own country

  • @Twizztednights81 was trying to look at the + ...every ones war was fucked up by them that ran it... i replyed on your site ,shame you did not have napalm lots of color for longer time..makes them dance to the tunes for sure...keep your powder dry..

  • @katana258 lol nice can't say I remember Vietnam but I remember Iraq. Was in Ramadi definitely kept you on your toes. Was quite a display better than any video game when the insurgents pissed us off. Overwhelming force lifting off and you hear nothing but hellfires 50 cals and the Artillery booming away. Really is quite a sight to see and the feeling of being in the middle of it all much more intense and adrenaline packed than anyone can get from a game.

  • @1105196 i feel deeply for you your brother and your father for the pain your father is and has experienced and the pain that you and your brother may be feeling.

  • ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮STOP WAR, START A REVOLUTION☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮

  • I hope one day I can understand my father's pain. As he gets older (61 yesterday) he becomes more isolated. I hurt for him deeply, his isolation seems at its worst as my brother is in Iraq now and with every deployment my brother goes on it is hell for my father.

  • This was never a Vietnam "hit" song. An urban myth but still a great tune.

  • @MrYaesu840 I fail to see the problem :-)
