Why not just hire back Robert Fleishman to the band? He's the essence of both the old Journey and the NEW Journey!

I heard Fleischman on VV Invasion and the way he screams, he does that Bon Scott thing! When he sings normal like this, he really has those pipes! I wish he'd have come back to replace Augeri when Augeri left Journey instead of JSS!

Only reason I can come up with for their having gone with Steve Perry is that he wrote those lame, 80s arena rock anthems that made them zillionaires. I've never heard this edition b4 and am groping for an explanation why RF didn't stick (unless he left on his own accord). It's no upgrade in the lead singer/frontman dept 2 switch to the less physically attractive Perry + you'd think having a frontman who does NOT remind you of a girl would b a plus. BUT, they made a fortune so who am I to say?

When you boil it all down, Robert is a better singer than the other guy. He has better rock phrasing and a better rock sensibility. (Listen to the bridge part starting at 1:57.) I was at this show. My band played on the local stage and we were able to see Journey and Styx. Journey, by far, was the best band of the day.
