Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
— Mark Twain
Back in 2001, Else-Marie Östling, the global CTO of IconMedialab (now LBi International), told me that skydiving will change my life.
I'm ready to change my life, so this weekend, on August 11th, 2007 (Saturday), I went up to Skydive The Ranch http://skydivetheranch.com in upstate New York for my first skydive with my co-workers from IconNicholson, Eduardo F. Ortiz and skydiver extraordinaire Colin Sutherland.
Until I have time to edit the video and compose an awesome dance track to replace this raw footage (shot by Oren Peri) which contains a bit too much SML dorky moments, here's your chance to see me flying tandem with Steve (Utah) Webb, a skydiving pro with 7,700 jump experience, for the thrill of my lifetime.

Also see my Flickr stream for photographs shot on the same day.
Note: Those shaky and some might say 'creative' photographs polluting my stream are the results of my camera being high-jacked by amateurs... This is one of the reasons why I don't like people using my camera. Obviously, if you see me in the stream, I didn't take that photo!

joey12310,
The guy in shorts are professional. Professional skydivers skydive 10 times a day. It's a fairly intense thing. I'm sure that he's ok :) The video is shot by Skydive the Ranch. It costs 90 dollar extra for the video and it's definitely worth it!

Wigsplitter11,
I am not a professional skydiver, but I believe that you can do many things. I'm unsure how you can learn to skydive by yourself--you can tandem--I believe that you *have* to do tandem jump but I could be wrong. You can just google skydive schools and check for results perhaps?

WigSplitter11,
There is no age limit. There is also no lessons. You just go jump! The video taken was my first time. It's the quickest way to spend 270 in 10 minutes, but it is also a very life-changing experience.
I highly recommend it--take your parents so they'll pay for you :)

Thanks! That was my first skydive. Very happy about it. I'm planning to go back the coming weekend. 2007-09-01 :)
