We are at the 2011 6th Hawaiian Vintage Surfing Auction put on by surfing entrepreneur Randy Rarick. This is Part 2 of a two part video of Aussie Bob McTavish describing some auction surfboards that he either shaped previously or recently for this auction. Bob's self styled claim is that he pioneered the short board revolution. He makes this claim in his movie called 'Going Vertical.' And although this claim has some merit, many shapers and surfers were all moving in this direction in an attempt to get more out of a wave than standing up and going straight in. You will see some prototype boards that Bob shaped in his attempt to control the wave.
