The autoblock knot:
"The method most commonly used and taught by professionals today is called the "autoblock" and consists of a friction knot (i.e. a "gripping" knot like the prusik") attached below the rappel device and connected to the leg loop of the harness. It may be necessary to extend the rappel device to prevent the friction knot from getting pulled into it."

  • To be honest I feel most western special forces teams could learn a lot by adopting Soviet style tactics in these situations. You watch videos of typical American SWAT teams slowly inching up to buildings and taking their time. Watch some eastern bloc special forces doing exercises and its people blowing out windows then throwing up ladders while dudes with pistols VAULT into the building. Surprise and speed are the cornerstones of Soviet military tactics.

  • @jks2389

im very sceptic about soviet tactics because they are too aggressive and dont really care about the hostages - did you heard about Beslan?

  • WHOAAAAAAA 1:10 what the fuck is the guy in camo doing way in the middle of the room??? he is in everyones lines of fire and if someone is in the room he will die 90% of the time either by the enemy for not checking his corners first, or by one of your guys because hes right in your way. HORRIBLE MISTAKE

  • @headshotmeistro

    another couch commando

you people only see the old style wall flood techniques on COD and nayv seals TV shows and thin that everyone should do it like that

this ently was done with a (simulation) flashbang, the first guy has front sector and his job is to go into the depth of the room - that way he is out of the fatal funnel and the 2. and 3. guy can clear corners

this is a modified technique using the best from the wall flood and the room flood technique

  • @Polenar i take it none of the guys in the video are military

  • Great song. Prodigy- voodoo people (pendulum mash up)

  • Chi chi chi...

  • @headshotmeistro Your and idiot. He isn't in anyone of his teams lines of fire because they are covering different sectors of the room. His job is to clear and engage any threats through the center of the room, especially if they are behind cover. Not every room is structured the same or the same size,so different formations are applied in each scenario.

  • @jks2389 Attacking from different angles offers diversity and variety. The reason so many Western S.W.A.T units take the direct approach is because many members are either untrained or uncapable of performing these complex actions.

  • @Polenar Exactly The Soviet and Western styles are two different ways of approaching a situation. Its not that one could learn from the other.

  • @jks2389 every fucking time soviet entry tactics are done almost half of the hostages die...dont you watch news?

  • Are you using on the rappelling only carabiner as friction-"loop"? And prussik for the hands-free lock?

  • @Polenar That's true enough. Hopefully one would never have to resort to those kinds of tactics, but perhaps Eastern tactics applied with a Western mindset would be a good combination.
