Lingual Braces are direct bonded on the upper inside teeth and are invisable to the world. Lingual braces can sometimes cause speech issues or discomfort to a patient's tongue at the beginning of treatment but is easily resolved. Due to the lack of perimeter with lingual braces, some patients need to switch to labial (front) braces near the end of treatment.
Direct Bonding is a procedure completed by the orthodontist to place the brackets on each patient's tooth by hand.
Each orthodontist is certified to know the accuracy of the placement of each bracket and all certified assistants are trained to prepare each patient's tooth for the orthodontist's bonding.

I'd rather have them on the outside than on the inside. That will annoy me because of my tongue.
