I love the Purple used to end a song in concert! They used to drag it out for so long and make a whole production of it. I mean it's only the end of a song and they play it for like 3 minutes! It's hilarious!

I don't think there is any new rock band today that plays with that kind of intensity and passion that Purple played at. Not even close.

No one can say who the greatest rock guitarist of all time is, but Blackmore is arguably in the top 5 and he and Page were the best showmen I've seen in their prime. Personnally, for me, because of his body of work, it's Clapton.
