@AmandaShotgun2 yeah I've watched a lot more Japanese TV and I now speak Japanese so I learned it. It would be really weird to never say a certain type of sound your whole life then try to say it.
-
@JakeGordonTV Think of how hard it would be if you spent your whole life learning a language where those sounds didn't exist. Your tongue wouldn't be used to moving in the way it needed to in order to form those sounds. The closest they have to an L sound in Japanese is their R sound. When pronounced in Japanese, their R sounds sound a bit like an English L but it's hard to hear. Therefore, they tend to pronounce an L sound with an R sound. I know this reply is a year off, sorry.

there are no V's or L's in the japanese.
But it's cute to see them try.

@JakeGordonTV I think it's like rolling r's or languages that use a lot of phlegm to pronounce words. Probably really hard to get the hang of for people not used to it.

I understand that there aren't Ls in Japanese but why can't they form Ls at all?
