Distortion Drum - Lightning Will Strike

Important Info:
This is the last song of our last album called "Lightning Will Strike". This was originally on our first CD that you can't get anywhere. The same goes for our last CD. We only made like, 600 copies of each CD and sold them in the Redding-Chico, CA area. This is the re-recorded version, but none of you will know that because no one has basically heard the first version.

This was recorded in July of 2006 in my parents house in my bedroom/recording room.

We were the kind of band that was just "metal".... nothing special. No sub-genres. Sometimes we would through some Alternative stuff in a song, but that's about it. You'll notice all of our music is 4/4 and 8/8 and everything else that is even. We played music we thought sounded cool, and to these ears, a lot of it still sounds cool. A lot of people actually liked our music and our band. We were pretty popular in our area and always drew a hefty crowd. I called it quits in February of 2007. The band broke up all because of me. We held Distortion Drum together for almost 10 freakin years, with all original members, except Mike, who joined in 2002. I'm still in touch with a few members of the group. Brandon is the only one still playing in a band these days. In a time now, when a lot of metal is technical and practically A.D.D., give the ol' Distortion Drum a listen and realize it's something you can actually bob your head to and not have to think about what's going on too much.

Reminds me of a mix of...Slipknot/Alien ant farm/ then some metalcore influence. You guys were so much more interesting than all the other 530 bands. Good song mannnnn

oh my gosh... i can remember both recordings of this song... i had two different copies of the cd, i believe. and i can remember the show @ the pound on my 18th birthday in san fran.... im really bummed that you dont know where i can get the cd now... especially the other version. my copy is long gone. it was borrowed often and didnt make it back one time. thanks for putting this up beau. i've been waiting! you rock. much love and respect to distortion drum. thanks! i will check those guys out. You should listen to the other song we have on here called "These Days Age". It's more radio-friendly. lots of singing, way less screaming.
