Chapter 3!
"Sarah!" I screamed and hugged her carefully. She laughed and hugged back. I could tell she was a little frightened because she was stiff. I don't blame her. Walking into a house a vampires is like suicide to others. But no one will do harm to her I can assure her of that. Especially Ashley. She loves Sarah. And so does Nick. Nick wont harm her at all. She walked in and everybody gave her a warm smile and waved.
"Aunt Sarah!" Nick said and ran up to give her a hug. Sarah tried to lift him up into his arms but he was too heavy. I laughed. Sarah got to Nick's level and gave him a hug.
"Hey there Junior!" She messed Nick's hair up and he chuckled. Sarah came over and sat by the rest of us still a little scared. Ashley calmed her down. Hours went by when we had a little vistor.
"Who is this?" The girl said sounding dissaproved with us interacting with humans. She also had fierce red eyes that meant she was thirsty.
"This is my best friend Dakota." I stood up and walked to her. Ashley got up and blocked Sarah out of Dakota's view.
"Hmmm. Fascinating. Friends with mortal? Friends with your food?" Dakota laughed a little. I growled.
"Can you leave?!" I spit. Dakota smiled.
"But I just got here!" She pouted. I rolled my eyes. Cam stood up and came by my side.
"You're hungry Dakota. Let's go out." He put his arm on Dakota's back and they started to walk out of the door. I stood infront of them.
"Don't think about it." I told her. She rolled her eyes.
"It's so fun to get you tense Marissa. I promise I won't do anything." She put her hand on my shoulder. I slightly smiled and got out of their ways. I went to Sarah and she was pale white.
"She was just joking Sarah." I smiled. She nodded fast.
"Mm. Right. I should go..." She stood up and walked to the door. She gave me a quick hug and left. I sighed and shut the door. I laid down on the couch and I started to feel tired. I sighed again.
"Nicholas...." I said. Now I felt wide awake.
"Sorry." He giggled.
"I told him to do that Marissa. You've been looking stressed lately. You could use it." Robert said. I sighed. It would be nice to actually sleep again. Maybe have that dream again.
"Fine." I mumbled. My eyes started to dry and close. As soon as they shut, a bright flash of white light hit my face and I was at the lake once again. It was dark now on a summers day. Candles were lit up everywhere. I saw a boy holding a guitar,sitting on the edge of a small cliff, and looking out into the lake. He turned his face to me and he smiled that smile that makes me melt. He patted the seat next to me and I smiled shyly. I sat down and looked straight into his eyes. He looked deep into mine. He put his hand gentlly on my cheek and carressed it down to my neck sending chills down my whole body. He must have noticed because he smiled and chuckled.
"Same Marissa that I miss." He said. I looked down and slightly smiled.
"I wrote you a song." He lifted my chin up with his finger and put my lips inches away from his. So close I felt his breath on my face. I smiled. I turned to face the lake. It showed the full moons reflection. "It's not all the way done though." He said breaking the silence. "Want to hear it?" He asked. I nodded and he smiled. He grabbed the guitar pick and started to play.
Broken hearts and last goodbyes
Restless nights but lullabies
Helps make this pain go away
I realize I let you down
Told you that I'd be around
Building up the strength just to say

For breaking all the promises I wasn't around to keep.
If only..
This time is the last time I will ever beg you to stay.
But your already on your way.
I stared at him astonished. His voice is so beautiful yet so broken. In some parts his voice cracked. Like it was hard for him to sing this to me. But why? He looked up at me and saw that I was crying. He kissed the tears away. I layed down on the ground and Nick did the same. We stared into eachothers eyes for what seemed for hours. Suddenly, everything started to get blurry.
"Nick?" He just smiled and dissapeared. I shot my eyes open and everybody was staring at me. Robert, Cam, Ashley, Junior, and Dakota. They backed away and let me sit up. Immediatley, I hugged Nick. I love him so much.
"Thank you sweetie." I hugged him tighter.
**Nick's POV**
I shot my eyes open. That was so real. Like that actually happened. What was happening? I haven't slept in over a hundred years and now I get them?! All of them have been about Marissa at the lake. I sang the song I was writing. It was painful to sing it knowing I cause her this pain. Then we laid down and stared into eachothers eyes for hours till everything went blurry and it dissapeared. If that was a dream..than it was the best ever.
