There are too many things that are repeated over and over and over that are presumed to be true, but are not, and your claim is one of them. @aveyowyns No, its not. Its said that its used as a justification for wars, never really for deaths. Religion isn't to blame for violence, but it isn't really disputable that religion is pervasive among justifications for war.

Atheism, on the other hand, never has been used to wage war. "They believe in religion?" "Destroy them all!" Has not happened once in history.

among far-right overly-evangelical theists, this claim is made regularly. You may not be very familiar with your own kind.

But abiogenesis IS being tested scientifically and while our ideas about abiogenesis don't constitute fully formed scientific theory nevertheless we have some very good ideas about what happened and how. We know the complex precursor molecules required for life form naturally due to their chemical affinities, what we don't have evidence for is that it happened magically and was the work of some undetectable being.
