Why is it that theist believe that the constitution only protects their ideals and freedoms (colored gals like me need to just sit down and shut up about my rights and stuff--or so I have been told-- sooooo wish I were exaggerating...) And why is it that it is only the religious nut jobs who see fit to burn property and otherwise terrorize when their POV is challenged? Keep going girl! I am in awe of your bravery!

People ESPECIALLY religious ones are under the impression that they have the right to not be offended. They think that it's wrong to offend them and yet they're allowed to denigrate us Atheists or even other religions. They try and say "Freedom of speech unless it's offensive!". They forget the basic premise of freedom of speech: You don't need laws protecting inoffensive speech.

If you are referring to National socialism, Hitler is supposed to have been a Catholic and the abhorrent Catholic church was as close to the official church of the Third Reich as anything else. As for Communism, it was its own form of religion which much more closely follows your model for the definition of a religion than does atheism. Your programming prevents you from managing rational thought processes on this subject, CULTIST!

What materials do they regularly acquire, create and use that marks them as atheists? I would imagine that a major requirement for a religion is leaders, rituals led by those leaders, rigid doctrine that is not to be questioned? Nope we don't have that either. Your pathetic model is so full of holes you could sell it as Swiss cheese.

@afar1 No-one has ever said, nor ever will say, that science is infallible, quite the contrary, scientists are constantly seeking weaknesses in their ideas and theories in order to then find a better model for what they observe. It is institutions like the Catholic Church with their rigid dogma and infallibility of the Pope that are the thick-headed, stubborn arrogant ones with no idea how to get themselves out of the dogmatic abyss into which they have plunged themselves and their followers.

@foreversurfingthenet He doesn't even have to do that, he simply has to put the certainty into everyone's head that he is real and that Islam/Christianity/Judaism/ Hinduism(?) (delete as appropriate), is the one true religion and off we would all jolly well go to church/mosque/temple. We would never know that we had ever had a doubt.
