@brandonafrica Yeah I can understand that, I suppose it can be compared to afro americans suffering from slavery versus the later generations suffering from the legacy of it? It's still a burden to carry but in a different way. Thank you for the information!

@Yaiyasmin yes thats right. Its just a pet peeve of mine when young black south africans talk about how they suffered under apartheid when in fact they didnt. They only suffered the consequences of the legacy left behind. Theres a difference between suffering under aparthied laws and suffering under poverty caused by apartheid after the fact.
