Ava Florence-Beth Rosemeyer was born on August 22, 2003.
Ava was a total girly girl. She loved anything and everything pink, faries, ballerinas, and all things sparkly, and Dora, but more than anything, she loved her Grandad. Ava was so sweet and affectionate. She would say to her mommy, "Mummy, iloveyousomuch". She was adored and spoiled by every member of her family.
On Saturday, February 3, 2007, Ava was at her Grandad's house with her Mum and brother. Her brother, Luca, asked if they could do rearranging in his bedroom so they all headed home, which was right nextdoor. Ava started to pest for something she left behind, but her Mum said she wasn't going back and told her to go get it and then come home again. It was only 10 meters to Grandad's door.
They started doing what Luca asked and it came across Sheye's, Ava's mum, that she wasn't back, but she figured Ava was having lunch and watching TV with Grandad.
Sheye went downstairs, Crayton, Ava's dad, asked Ava's brothers if they knew where she was. Sheye was alarmed by that. She went to the front of the house where Grandad was standing. She asked "Where's Ava?" and he said "I don't know..she said she was going to the car" and before he could finish his sentence, Sheye ran to the car which was parked a few steps away. She found Ava inside and knew that it was bad. She had been in the car for up to 30 minutes. They never park the car in the driveway and it had been locked but one of the children had got something out of it that morning and not relocked it. They believe she had gone in to get lollies and shut the door to hide
They tried to cool Ava while waiting for an ambulance. When she was taken to the hospital, they put her on life support and cooled her body right down in an attempt to limit brain damage. She was taken up to the Mater PICU later that night and placed in an induced coma.
Ava fought SO hard for the next two days, until February 5.
While Sheye and Crayton went to visit their other kids, Ava became unstable. By the time they got there, Ava had already passed away in her Aunt Angie's arms.
weloveYOUsomuch Ava!

  • rip ava...

but im still comnfused- how did she die in the car?

  • It was on a summer day (it was summer in Australia) so the car was hot and within 5 minutes, the heat inside a car can make a child too lethargic to move, so she fell asleep

  • @SmilesandGigglesx also i think there was child safety locks am i right?

  • @orcaandsims yeah you're right
