This Video footage of Coventry's Buses in January 1977 is absolutely brilliant and has brought back alot of happy memories ! Another "CLUE" to help "BAMMOT" identify the year of his Pool Meadow Bus Station footage would be if he can see any "Please Let Buses Pull Out" stickers on the back of any of the Fleetlines ? I think that they were put on the Buses over here in about 1979/1980 ???

The last buses in service in the Red and Ivory livery were withdrawn in September 1979. After this time, other than any Overall Advert buses,it was Blue and Cream paint all the way until 1988 then. The CVG6 Tree Lopper was painted WMPTE Blue in 1977 and was withdrawn in 1982. The last CVG6 to be withdrawn from passenger service was on August 24th, 1979. If there are no CVG's or Red and Ivory Buses in BAMMOT'S video footage of Pool Meadow, it could well have been shot from late 1979 onwards ?

I would long be dead, I was certain that the film was shot some time between 1978? and 1980? the film will soon be on YouTube and I think it will conplement yours if only to show the difference that two years? can make
My notes say that the video was taken around January 1977 - ie. 3 years after Coventry buses started getting painted in blue/cream.
There were still some buses in Coventry in the red/ivory livery a year later (1978) according to one book that I have.

Conductors were still in use where necessary - such as on the half-cab buses with rear open platforms.

As the original was silent 8mm cine film, when I copied the films to VHS I then added music.
