No reason to not use good form, even when going heavy. This is the form that I make my clients adhere to every time. Doing the get-up this way has really unlocked the strength I already had and made my movements more efficient all while making my shoulders more resilient.
i already feel it in my mid section/obliques legs and torso.

Looks like this works the entire body. I'll have to start performing this exercise again, now that I've seen proper form (I sustained a minor injury performing the "get up" incorrectly).

what is the point of extending the hip and holding like that? asking because i dont know. ive seen it done this way and ive seen it done where you simply slide you extended leg behind your bent leg and get up. ive done both variations, the version in this video is a little harder to control the bell at the middle stage.

I think your form is very nice. I would ask for one clarification, however: My RKC told me to hinge at the hip when on the final descent from kneeling on one knee to touching hand down, as opposed to bending at the waist. Thoughts?
