Did Badnarik just try and advocate the privatization of air and water? ...

No, listen to him, he says people would rather live the luxurious life of welfare than run their own lives. He also says anarchy can't work because people don't want it, implying that they would prefer to have a government to run their life. Also I don't believe in "necessary evils". If he starts with that idea, no matter how limited the government starts, it will be become a monster. Libertarianism is a dead end ideology.

You are inferring that he represents those peoples (welfare babies) beliefs...he does not.

Far from it.

It is a fact that a majority of our population has been indoctrinated and breed to be zombies of Socialism and feel that they are entitled to another persons property and wage...this altruistic belief is what has ruined America.

Badnarik wants the complete opposite and would tell those that cannot fend for themselves "tough luck, better hope there is a voluntary charity nearby"

If you think socialism is what ruined america, you might be the one who is indoctrinated. Far from it. What ruined this country is the paper money banking cartel that has systematically bought up the government and the media. We are living in a fascist state. Smaller government becomes bigger government. Look what we started with and where we are now. Look at history, every crooked regime gets thrown and replace with... a crooked regime. Badnarik is just statist-lite.

I used the Socialist wordage in a broad sense...the fall of America has alot of blame to go around.

Fiat Money...14th Amendment...FDR...Hoover...Lin coln...

You can place the blame wherever you want...

The main blame, in my opinion, would be directly attributed to forced altruism....by the Government through immoral taxation and theft.

This ideal lead to the Federal Reserve, led to the 14th Amendment, led to the Civil War...led to it all.

Badnarik is nothing near a Statist.

A Statist is someone who believes that government (or a State) is necessary and desirable. I also call Statists, archists, because anarchists, are the the opposite. Badnarik believes that government is needed and desirable.

that is a vague definition for Statist...under that, yes, he would be considered a Statist.

Again, a Government is necessary for Defense of our Property and our Rights from enemies foreign and domestic...as was set up by our founders.

This is extremely necessary, in my opinion...but i do not by any means classify myself as a Statist.

To me, a Statist is someone whom feels government should be in total control of all issues related to the "State"...even our personal lives.

I do agree with you to an extent on Libertarianism, I am a registered Libertarian and believe in the overwhelming majority of the Libertarian government principles...I do idolize Ayn Rand on philosphy and wish that it could be that way today...

However, a "National/Federal Government" (if that is what you wish to call it) i feel is necessary for only Defense and nothing other...i think the Second Amendment serves well for local defense, but not on a national level

i do believe a very minimal defensive government is required...without one, an unorganized defense would result in the event that another tyrannical force invades your "domain"...the other force would invade in order to expand its empire and to absorb the invaded as slaves...this has happened in the past, Egyptian times.
