Laura Michelle Kelly on Broadway Babies

Laura Michelle Kelly (Olivier Award-winning star of Mary Poppins in London and on Broadway, plus many other roles) appears on the Ovation network's new special BROADWAY BABIES, a musical theatre competition filmed years ago in the UK. She was 19, and starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber's WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND at the time. She sang "Unexpected Song" from SONG AND DANCE and "Children of the Wind" from RAGS.

I did not record this video from the TV and I do not own BROADWAY BABIES. I'm just a LMK fan who wants to share these magical performances with other fans.

@Danlotleinad She is 30 now. She won the Olivier Award for her performance in the London Production of Mary Poppins. She is currently playing the role on Bway, until October 9, 2011. Her other Bway credit is Hodel in the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Other West End shows: Lord of the Rings (Galadriel), Mamma Mia (Sophie), Whistle Down the Wind (Swallow), Beauty and the Beast (Belle u/s), Les Mis (Eponine), and more. Film Credits: Sweeney Todd, Goddess... Solo Album: The Storm Inside.

i am so glad i found this video! i remember stumbling across the show on tv YEARS ago and thinking good god who is this girl? and it's really the only version of the Children of the Wind i've seen that like!

Unfortunately, she is not :( Nick Winston actually walked out on her (the evil bastard) nine months after they were married. They were reunited about two years later, but after a couple years they separated permanently. My heart bleeds for this dear, dear girl. Someone so full of talent and beauty and love should not have been put through this.
