@ReasonableRam Digital can't be heard with the human ear, but recorded digitally, and compressed which is necessary too, for portable music, obviously... DAC would be what is inbetween... Digital to Analog conversion

Well if you want to get technical it's digital but it's still vibrating a speaker at a certain frequency to make sound which in turn creates the vibrations in the air-waves to hit your ear.
