The two extra knots are for pressure points. After all the whole point of a rope halter is moving off the pressure. So even though your videos are so helpful and wonderful. That is the reasoning behind the dumb people

thanks, best instruction on the fiadore i've found....it's good to adjust fit so the noseband rests high enough on the horses face, on the solid bone, not on the softer cartilage of the lower nose which can be damaged.....for folks making the halter, i recommend paying attention to the direction the overhands are tied, on my first try I tied mine left handed or backwards and it seems to make a difference to how smoothly the knots lay

I am having the same issue connecting the rope where it lays on the cheek. (the end of part 2) I can get it to ty just like the other knots but it comes out the knot on the wrong side. So the extra length of rope goes toward the fiador knot instead of across the nose band... What am I doing wrong?

those extra knots are for training. I always use rope halters. When people use them for training they like the extra knots because the horses respond better.
