Taking a picture of the starry night can be hit or miss. With a camera with manual controls and a tripod, the night sky can be yours to capture.

Even point and shoot cameras can get in on the fun as long as it allows you to use a long shutter speed setting. Even the night setting may yield some stars.

Further away from the lights of the city, the better. Low light pollution areas or dark sky locations yield the best opportunities for starlight photography.

  • If we don't have a cable release or remote trigger, we could use the camera's built i timer.

  • @netmatrix75 Yup, self timer is a good trick I use often, even on my DSLR cameras.

  • where do you live? its so pretty.

  • @zombieX111222333 This was shot in Northern Vermont.

  • Brilliant stuff, thanks for that! I love the whole 'bike ride' thing too, definitely gives the viewer something to look at :)

  • @viper200691 Glad ya liked it. Riding and vlogging gives a different dimension to the vid I guess.
