9th WORLD ART EDUCATORS WORKSHOP: THE ART OF TEA 2008
Omote senkei Tea Master Noriko Saito guided us through the tea ceremony in Kamakura. We experienced Japanese cuisine demonstrated Master Chef Touru Hashimoto, and were guided in the making of traditional tea ware and functional ceramics by Master Potters Euan Craig and Masakazu Kusakabe..   • i've seen raku kichizaemon work, the fellow kusakabe sensei speaks about. raku sensei works in a different manner, more a pinch pot which is then thinned and scraped when more leather hard, making a distinctive scraping noise.

  • This video is a bit confusing. He was making a coiled cup then switched to a solid lump of clay. don't know what the results were in either case.
