My hope is that this series will be able to educate & inform people about ALS. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord resulting in muscle weakness and atrophy. Over 5,600 people a year in the U.S. are newly diagnosed. There is no known cause OR cure & it can strike anyone, regardless of their age, gender, or race. the later... as Michael said, he considers himself one of the lucky ones.

He has a great attitude. Actually everyone we filmed had great attitudes & amazing spirits.

I'll keep praying for a cure.

I guess positive thinking and positive posture is a great attitude. It has been helping my husband as well, he has had almost no alteration in his condition for the past year and 4 months. i know that the battle will be long but I am sure that can be smoother with positive attitudes and thinking as Michael's.

I wonder what would happen if someone diagnosed with Lou Gehrig 's disease went on a raw vegan organic diet, which easily reverses cancer and other terminal illnesses. I think death from most illnesses, and all the tragic sorrow that goes with it, is entirely unnecessary and can be completely healed with raw foods, but unfortunately, the medical industry only embraces what is profitable, and so many needlessly die because they never learn the truth.
