That was a great, great game. I still remember exactly where I watched it and the people I watched it with like it was yesterday. How I miss the General.

They got to the title game in '02 with a decent, if not superstar team, but fell short. Still a good year, though.

Superstar team, my ass. Indiana had one guy on that team who went on to the NBA, and that was Jared Jeffries. Maryland was the superstar team, with four future NBA players. Juan Dixon, Steve Blake, Chris Wilcox and Lonny Baxter. Indiana was a #5 seed, and Maryland was seeded #1. It was a miracle run, Corky.

I said "decent, if NOT superstar team." I never said they were superstars. You're right, they didn't have the depth that Maryland had. Still, they had enough talent to make that run. And with all the guys that went to the NBA from Maryland, how many are still playing?
