How do you get the water translucent?
-
Why is water coming out of a cube?

@zodoize look at the date

Ok this is a note to the creator on how to improve the quality of this. One thing thats a major issue is the texture. Its too thick looking. Water isnt thick usually. Also the water should move faster and it really shouldn't bounce off the walls

Y did it take 40 minutes to render? It took me 10 minutes to render a 20 second movie (with liquid, cloth, and smoke)???

Another question.... what setting do you use to make the water look that great. I've been trying for months and i just can't get the formula right

@TheGravelbeardable hey i think for this video i may have used one of the preset yafray materials, not sure, but normaly what i would use would be to set transparency on, raytrace, IOR, 1.4-1.5 (1.45), and a low alpha setting, keep experimenting with those settings and im sure youll get it :)

Let me get this straight, you just set the the object you want to flow to inflow, so would there also be a object with the setting fluid on it?
TheGravelbeardable 11 months ago
@TheGravelbeardable No there wouldn't be another object with fluid on i, unless you want there to be. The two settings of inflow and fluid are two methods of fluids entering the simulation. Fluid turns the volume or shell of the object into fluid, where as inflow creates a constant source of fluid from the object. So you could have both, which would be like having a tap turned on and a sphere of water dropped at the same time.
