  • @vampychick22 also i have experince with horses and do groom regarly. the boy prob got bored of the beautiful horse. He dident have the audasity to care for the megestic animal and should be punished

  • @vampychick22 not exacutly true i am 12 and have gotten up earily in the morning everday to feed my thoughobred gelding i love him very much hes spitfire loves to gallop. I got him from an ADULT and she was ridding him very instancely and she told me he would need to put on aleast 100 pounds. I ride western trail and stopped riding for awhile to let him gain. I give him a few horse treats everday and he does get apples. but heres the thing ive wnted a horse since i could talk

  • Thoroughbreds are amazing horses and are my breed of choice. I only get them off-track and they've proved over and over that they are good horses. My 6 year old bro learned to ride on my 6 year old OTTB gelding and so did my boyfriend and other siblings. I love thoroughbreds and always will! ^_^

  • Beautiful horse, she looks very well now... Bravo! She's lucky to have find wonderful owners like you.

  • so sad.. We just took on our first OTTB last month, just off the track this summer. We got her for our son who is 15 and she couldn't have it better. I have always had QH's so this is a little new. We are giving her some down time in pasture before we ride her - no stalls- no shoes/barefoot trim and a lot of love !! What a sad thing to teach your 14 - how not to care for a horse. But she looks beautiful now = nice work !

  • In new zeland, owners hav payd way to much money to buy the horse and pay for its traning to just throw it on a truck to end its life.

the horses eaither go out to stud, go back to the owners, are spelled and come back in abit later or are given away or sold for a small amount.

people really need to work in the racing industry before they start juding what happens to the horses after their racing life is over. there is always someone that likes the horse and therefore will take it if they can

  • TB's are wonderful overall, not nasty or crazy. I have known a few (have one) that are for sure a beginners horse, wouldn't own a QH for anything save the TBs and standardbreds from slaughter please and educate people on these wonderful beautiful animals there is life for them after racing they are the supreme athletes of the horse world

Thanks for saving her and the others I do save one at a time as I only have so much room

  • Good job and thank the gods for people like you !!!

  • The race track problem is that the horses who are no longer winning are sent away on the truck to the slaughterhouse in Canada or Mexico. The way they slaughter these beautiful animals is beyond belief, inhumane is putting it nicely. There is a HUGE problem with the animals in human "care" on this planet. We need to make the slaughterhouses, if they must exist, more humane. Breeders, owners, trainers etc. need to set up a system for dealing with the horses that are no longer "useful".

  • she is so pretty...i try to raise awareness around where i live about animal cruelty...its people like u that make sure neglected horses are rescued....keep up the good work
