I didn't know Stan Boreson appeared on the Lawrence Welk Show.
I was too young back then, only 2 at the time. :^|

I used to hear this song every winter as part of the local kids' show I watched & they had the host (Casey Jones) lip-syncing to it while wearing a pair of long-johns. That was in the 1960s. I never knew until now as to the song's origin. Cool! (The clip is a year older than I am.)

Oh, sure, it's a spoof, corny, clever and humorous...but so nice that Lawrence gets to show off his accordion keyboard abilitites.
