Semper Fi Marine. My A-School was suppose to be there. It was moved to Athens GA. I ended up at Yuma AZ supporting all Data Comm for the 4 Harrier squadrons.

A gearhead by the name of Art Carr built the C-4 for street and strip use. The rear 9 inch ford narrowed 31 spline was set up by Bill Thomas. Both these guys no their shit.

WOW! I donated 4 years at MAG-13 and MAG-11. I miss the F-4s, A-6s, A-4s. Stationed ther 80-84, the 86-88. I wish I was there to fly my turbine jets there on the runway.
Cool video and music dude

They did have a local RC Plane Club use a section of runway. The end N/S runway next to a park. They got kicked out.
Few hangers a few buildings still around lots of work going on there. It's about to become the Great Park. The runway which is getting broken up in areas and that concrete has been name "El Toro Stone" and is being used through out this Great Park. I try to stay on a positive side for what is to come. Yet I sure miss that touch and go at 22:00 hrs. To put it straight, I felt safe.
