WHO Radio's Van & Bonnie went out to see the USS Iowa. It's berthed along with 75 other Navy Reserve Fleet ships at Suisun Bay (by San Francisco). Iowa is awaiting donation so that it can be used as a museum ship. although Van & Bonnie were able to go aboard, it's not open to the public...yet. In fact, no cameras were allowed aboard her.

  • She's still soo awesome!!

  • I read in the magazine Sea Classics that she is possibly headed to the L.A. Area that would be awesome!

  • yes it looks sad in the ghost fleet. i want to see it returned to its former glory.

  • I agree with this museum idea, for sure. I'll dig around and see how I can help.

  • Good video , I hope the ship can be moved soon enough its been a long enough wait.
