thanks for the help this REALLY REALLY helps, i got one of these when 4 years ago and because of the tiny tiny little 4gb ssd i cant really do anything to it, i even though of hard modding that damn pc to HDD becuase i though ssd is build in and it cant be removed (dont see any hdd in there) until 3 hr ago when i blow off the dust and try to install ubuntu on it. Big help thanks again.

i had a 8 gig ram laying around so i tied to put it in my eee pc 900 worked but i could onley use 2

Actually, just reinstall the OS on the SSD. Noob.

Unfortunately I discovered, after folowing theese instructions, that this is the D drive, not the C. As the worefully inadequate 4GB C drive is the default and has been the source of all my difficulty with this little machine, replacing the hard drive as described here was no help at all.
