November 8th 2009 International Day of Prayer for the persecuted Church

Join us in prayer for the persecuted Church on November 8th. There are different ways you can pray. (1) pray for a specific hostile/restricted nation, (2) pray for a specific location where persecution on Christians exist. (3) pray for each country where persecution exists using a prayer map (go to www.persecution.com and click on "restricted nations")

It is my hope that you would continue to intercede for the persecuted Church (there are tons of ways you can do this). Keep yourself informed.

Some prayers you can lift up:

- To help us love our brothers and sisters in other countries so that our prayers would go beyond November 8th (1 Thess 3:12)

- For doors to be open for the Gospel as they lived in a hostile/restricted location (Col 4:3, 2 Thess 3:1)

- Boldness to speak the Word of God and faithfulness to Him at all costs (Eph 6:19)

- Protection from the enemy and Satan who will use all kinds of things to tear apart the body of Christ (Rom 15:31, Mat 6:13)

- Love for their enemies with the love of Christ, that they may too repent and cast themselves at the mercies of God and be saved (Mat 6:43-48)

- That they would find joy and praise God that they bear the Christian name as they participate in the sufferings of Christ (1 Pet 4:12-16)

- Strength and courage, that they would put their hope and trust in Christ and His promises (John 14:1-4, John 16:33)

remember:

- God's promise to be with His people (Mat 28:20, Joshua 1:1-9)

- The One who is with them is greater than the adversary (Dan 2:44, Ex 17:8-13)

- God is sovereign over the battles (Prov 19:21, Isa 55:9-11)

"Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Mat 5:10

"Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body." - Heb 13:3

Come Lord quickly we pray. God bless all those who have suffered in his wonderful name. The world is dying, Muslims and the like are growing (I believe these belief systems are inspired from satan) and Christians are bing more and more persecuted, even by the western world polictical correct people. They even stand up for the Islamic people who have attacked them over Christians. We need Jesus to come now as soon, it will be impossible to be free and in Christ.

Oh Father, we pray for our beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank You Lord for giving us boldness and strength to proclaim Your truth. AMEN.

Revelation 2 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.
