@tomloft2000 IIRC Segura had a two-handed forehand and a single-handed backhand. Bromwich and McGrath were hitting 2HBH back in the 1930s.

@itsareligionofpeace I agree... to some extent. Although it was a little before my time, tennis was more fun to watch when it was a contest of placement, touch, and angles. Plus, you hardly ever see serve and volley players nowadays. But alas, technology changes things.

This was the best era of tennis ever.
Wimbledon should bring back all wood rackets - much longer rallies, finesses - the way it should be.
