You I don't understand why anime fans complain about everything... from the way the animation studio interprets it into an anime or if it's turned into live action. Hell, even Japan makes live action and they're crap. Who cares how someone interprets other work.... it's not for you to decide, you don't have to watch the movie. And I love how I saw names being thrown around for a possible live action of Akira... even though they're all rumors.

@24komodo Yeah! I saw the plot for the live-action movie.. wish I hadn't... it would spare my being angry. Kei is Ky Reed, Tetsuo is Kaneda's brother, and Kaneda is a bar owner. THat's crazy shit.

The only way for the live action version to be a success is if the creator has a part or at least let the creator direct it. But it seems Akira has been risen & is taken into the road to disaster since they want to base the movie in Post apacolyptic New York.

I've seen the movie, it's pretty good (I speak of the anime movie of course), but after watching it and later listening to Lose Yourself by Eminem, all I could think of was this movie o_O

one more thing, they are making a live action movie of akira, and leo decaprio is in it. i think movie companies should stop making movies based on anime. its like movies based on video games, its a recipe for disaster, for example, dragonball evolution, i heard that it only ran for 17 minutes and thats the end of the movie, also it was a !@#$ crappy movie. this has to stop, hollywood has no imaginatnion. we should send tetsuo to kick the movie company's ass to prove a point.
