I have only had single moms eat their own babies when the female had too many! It seems when I put them in groups of three, they have not eatten their babies. But all mice are different, I notice that some females can be more aggressive. If I do see a aggresssive female I take her out....I think it's all about seeing how good the group works together, some just don't click, like people! I had to make some adjustments, even with the males. Some of the females will not tollerate the male...

how r u dealing with the smell? I kept 5 mice and 10 rats before and due to a friend of mine the smell was too much! I was cleaning the cages every two days and I was washing them every week but even I knew that my house was smelly.. I really want to have mice and rats again but the only thing I worry about is the smell!.. any tips?

to day my mouse had a liter of 4 she ate 2 and i saw her give birth to two she started to eat them and i pick them up they were badly indgerd so i put her bace whith male for liltle and fuck her then i gave her baby back and she is starting to nurce i had to cut the plzenta

@atothej2009 50 rats all together i had to move one litter to a different tub because they were getting to over crowded and i don't like to over crowd my rats But i only put two female or maybe three females to each male that i have so they are not over crowded. but i have been breeding for 3 months now i have lost some rats to not finding the right protien diet and now i have it so it has been going great for me. I know some of you don't feed meat but i feed meat products and i have never had a

@atothej2009 so they won't get over run down. or i give them a month off if they give me 20 to 25 babies out of one mother which i have been getting out of one mother rat. i have learned also if you have the male breed her when she is nursing the babies the nursing babies will not get as much milk as they need with the babies growing inside of her. i don't really need to breed my rats up like that because i have about 11 feamels ones that are not breeding yet and 7 that are nursing a litter of

@atothej2009 if you have four snakes then i would suggest you do 1.2 to 1.3 1 male and 3 females but if your feeding big boa constrictors like i am then i would do 1.6 to 1,8 1 male to 8 females but remember this if you want you're females to produce big you will need to take out the male before she drops her pups so you don't back to back breed the females. I have learned if you take the male out and wait until they are weaned then you won't have a problem i also give my rats two weeks off
