This video is about a woman who changed a country endorsing a movement that is changing it's people.

"It does not look down on those who have less and is not judgemental on those who have more. But by the values it promotes, Gawad Kalinga (GK) makes a stand on the kind of life that Filipino communities should strive for; that a Filipino nation should be known for a life of BAYANIHAN; being heroes for one another." - Cory Aquino

"For most Filipinos, People Power stopped in Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA). Those with resources were still disconnected from those who needed them. They failed to go to the poor communities to empower the people.
But to many like me, the EDSA experience was life-changing. Hope was planted.
Change was possible if people wanted it and worked for it." - GK advocate

Note: The background medley was sang by the GK Tatalon Performing Arts Choir (TAPA). These choir members, GK beneficiaries themselves, were also former scavengers. They now get invited to various events, get media exposure, go on concert tours and was even invited to Singapore to perform. Amazing transformation in itself.

  • @Johncito233

"Roughly translated" (It is sad to see so many children among trash and poverty but very touching to see how the people in the Philippines work for the social well being for those who need it most. Go forward Filipinos for the Philippines you deserve.)

Gracias mi amigo y hermano! Thank you for taking the time and your kind comment. Mabuhay!
