i guess the minimum damage rule is a good idea against creatures with trample: "ok, ill do 0 damage to that, 0 damage to that, 0 damage to that, 0 damage to that, and do 7 trample damage to you. thats game."
Yeah. You know, something similar happens awhile back: (Exodus 7:9-12). Notice how Moses' creature was bigger. Because he had "hidden" manna (Revelation 2:17)
@zachlr1 It generally would work like that, but if you attacker had trample, and your opponent prevented damage to a creature, it would be best to send more damage to the creature without prevention than the creature with, make sense?
If an attacking creature, like that 9/9 forest creature, doesnt have trample, then what would be the point in blocking with anything more than one creature? Why didnt the guy just block with his weakest creature and thats it?
Isn't it a waste to assign more than a lethal damage to a blocker that is not last in line, because all damage is absorbed, even if it dies? Instead it would be better used on the next blocker in line, right?
so the defender decides which of his creatures defends first?...
